One of the most important elements of our design for student success is our partnership with parents and families. Thank you for the many ways you support your children, their teachers, and our schools. That partnership is essential for us to truly live up to our promise to design success for every student.
As a parent with my own children in our schools, I also understand how important it is for families to clearly understand the rights, responsibilities, and roles they have in their children’s education. Knowing those rights helps parents stay informed, ask good questions, and work closely with teachers and school leaders in support of their children.
Parents are the primary decision makers in their children’s education, and we want it to be easy for families to understand what they can expect from us and where to find information when questions come up.
Each year, we provide families with several notices required by Idaho and federal law and Board policy. This year, we have brought that information together in one place to make it easier to review and reference.
Our
2026–2027 Annual Notice of Parental Rights includes information about parental rights, student records and privacy, health services, assessments, special education, student safety, instructional topics requiring parental notice or permission, and other important areas.
We appreciate your involvement in your child’s education and the trust you place in our schools. Please never hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, principal, or our District Office when you have questions. Working together with families is how we fulfill our commitment to design success for every student.
